Bush Medical Course - 22nd April 2007 Dr Neil van Tonder has developed a truely amazing Bush medical course and once again presented the course for the interested members. The course was held at Panorama Medi-Clinic in their training room with all the dummies, gear, etc. Neil soon had everybody practising their "head tilts" and "rescue breathing". The next routine was the heart compressions and before we knew it, morning tea/coffee was served. We covered a vast number of topics and scenarios including CPR, zoonosis, fractures, lacerations, dislocations, snake bite, burns, scorpion stings, etc. etc. The participants spent some time practicing their suturing techniques and finished the day confident that they could handle the emergencies that they came across on an offroad holiday.
