Snow Trip - 4th August 2007 As usual, with Greg's crazy working hours he had everybody at the meeting place at 5.30am. This crazy time was actually great as we missed all the traffic and arrived at the Matroosberg farm as they opened just after 7am. While folks were handing in their paperwork others were drinking steaming coffee, deflating tyres, while others, wisely, were using the loo as on the mountain there is no place to hide. We started up the mountain and it was a breeze until we reached the last 500 meters. The road was frozen and the cambre gave one this sliding feeling. All went well and we arrived without incident at the parking area. Within minutes all the kids, young and old were in the snow, boogie boarding, bum sliding (yes Janine) and just having fun. A snow man was built by Johan and his team while some of the kids tried their hand at igloo building. Just after 1pm we started making our way down the mountain. Once again we had great company and a great day.
