Midweek Madness - 4th June 2008 Midweek Madness is Greg's 'baby' and every now again we have a really memorable evening. Greg let us know that he had called in some old favours and had arranged a picnic in a forest around Cape Town and then a drive in the forest. (This was official with the authorities blessing). We first had to move MM by one week due to rain, Windguru and Weathersa all said clear skies. They Lie! The evening was chilly and every now and again we had a few drops of rain but as usual with the 4x4 Offroad Adventure Club members the whole crowd arrived and we departed on time to the venue. Most of the folks had bought take-a-ways as braaiing was not their first choice with the rain making intermittant appearances. Umbrellas were opened and as usual there was much chatting and laughter. As 20h00 we all got back into our vehicles and did a tour of the forest with the local representative guiding the group. The drive took about two hours due to some muddy spots but then the sky cleared and the views of the Peninsula were breathtaking. Thanks to everyone who attended.
