Two Oceans - 13th July 2008

The last few days have been great and the sun has been shining and drying out the tracks and trails and so after a call to the farmer he opened the Two Oceans trail for the weekend.

After a last minute email and SMS we had a group of nine vehicles and 9am on Sunday morning saw us filling in indemnities at the farm.

The trail is a grade two without the Bloomslang and Suikerbossie routes (which the farmer had kept closed) but we meandered up to the lookout for an early morning coffee before proceeding up to the higheest point on the farm. The trail climbs approximately 450m from the farm house to the highest point. There are one or two interesting parts to the trail but the trail is more of a scenic sunday afternoon drive than a "challlenge" type of trail.

The views are stunning and one can see from Gordons Bay to Cape Point and then as far as the eye can see in a northerly direction.

We were back at the braai spot by 12.30pm and Wimpie, the owner had moved two braai drums to a more convenient place for us.

All in all a great day.
Thanks to all that attended.

Greg
