Dear Members
Well as the Black Eyed Peas state in their song 'I gotta a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night'
and we hope you had a great party and entry into 2010.
The last week of December has left us dreaming of the last twelve months, things that have
happened but more importantly of what we can change and improve on next year. As you know by now,
I like quotes and my purpose in 2009 can be summerised in a quote by Carl.W. Buechner,
They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
Well we hope we made you feel excited about 4x4 travelling, about adventure, about your new
4x4 friends and the love of the lesser travelled road. 2010 holds all sorts of excitement, and
dares us to look at things differently. Carpe diem, sieze the day and live each second like it is
your last.
Well what can you expect during 2010?
• There will be lots of outings with some more long haul trips.
• Andy Brown suggested more training and we are working out a training schedule for members.
• We want to get the Special Interest Groups more active.
• We will continue our work in Lesotho with a number of members having booked already for the 2010 trip.
The year will start with our traditional 4x4 Offroad Adventure Club picnic on Sunday 24th January
2010 (venue and details will be emailed) at which a 2010 Programme will be announced.
I trust you are looking forward to the year like we are and please help us make this the best year yet.
Best wishes for 2010
Greg and Gloria
