Tyre Repair Course - February 2010 By Greg As soon as the email, advertising the Tyre Repair Course was sent the course was "full" so we agreed a second date for another course and within  a few days it was "full". The participants met at First Alignment Centre and after receiving their notes and listening to a brief introduction the course started with Wessels from Bridgestone talking about tyre composition and structure, Johann demonstrating puncture repair with all the participants getting a turn to practice and Greg demostrating how to take a tyre off the rim, put it back, getting a seal on the rim and how to use a High Lift jack to break the seal between the tyre and rim. We had a few ladies join the course and they were hands on using the High Lift jack and tyre levers. The practical finished at lunch time with some boerewors rolls and refreshments. Another great day in the life of 4x4 Offroad Adventure Club.
