First Aid Course - February 2010 By Greg It was decided that 2010 would have a large training component and with this in mind we have a full training programme for 2010. February saw the first entry level First Aid course being completed by members. The certificates only remian valid for a few years and then the course needs to be completed again and so I think it was my fourth of fifth renewal but this time was different. The course was presented by a paramedic who works on ambulances and WOW what a difference it makes learning from someone who works on the streets. He taught us new tricks on how to stop bleeding and had practical examples of everything taught. A Big Thank you to Land Rover N1 City for giving us use of their boardroom over a weekend as a training venue and of course to Rudi who locked and unlocked for us. We now have an additional 7 members with First Aid training and we have purchased more equipment and a second first aid bag which guides who have the certificate can use on trips.
