Dune Fun Ride - May 2010 By Greg After hosting the introduction to dune driving in the morning I made my way to the gate to meet the folks that were joining us for the dune ride. The sand was dry and very soft. After deflating tyres were made our way to the Land Rover Gat where we braai and chatted until about 2.30pm. Drivers were getting itchy and so I split the group between Niel van der Spuy and myself and we ventured into the dunes. Niel has risen through the ranks like a star and is always keen to assist! The newbees from the morning got to experience some more interesting and technical driving. Sideslopes, figure eights and obstacle driving were the order of the day. As the sun was setting we made our way to the gate, inflated tyres and made our way home. Another awesome day in Africa.
