Dear Members Firstly we decided to award Johann Tyres Viljoen with Life Membership. Johann has done so much for the club and is always there to help everyone and so we wanted to honour him for his dedication to everything 4x4. Congratulations Johann and Thank You. The club meeting, which we have been arranging for the last 12 years was a great success with almost 160 people attending. I do have a problem with those folks that don't have the manners to RSVP.. we had 117 RSVP's catered for 150 and were 20+ short. That means that a lot of people did not RSVP and some had more than one boerewors roll... we are more than happy to supply more if we know you will be attending so please RSVP in future it is not such a schlepp! I went up to the Gauteng club's meeting AWESOME! The meeting has the same feel to it as ours but with a lot more prizes as the suppliers and 4x4 shops in Gauteng see the benefit in what we do. We are going to start a similar meeting in the Southern Suburbs soon... watch this space for details of the venue. The trip to Zimbabwe is in full swing and on Wednesday Andy phoned to tell me that they had left Harare for Mana Pools and that they were having a fantastic time. The trip is back from Biedouw Valley and the Richtersveld trip leaves in two weeks time. The mid winter Valentines evening was great. Dinner and dance at the Blue Peter, stay over at the hotel and then breakfast. Accredited Training 4x4 Offroad Adventure Club can now offer accredited training and Recognition of Prior Learning courses under the 4x4 Offroad Academy - Johann Tyres and Greg will fulfill this function for the club members.
